Today I learned padel. I was coached for around thirty minutes, then we were about to play a game, unfortunately it rained right away.
Padel is interesting. For me, it tastes more like table tennis then tennis. Somehow previous sentence sounds weird, both are still “tennis”. LOL.
Tennis is played in a really big (relatively, for me) court, so I can use all of my power to hit the ball across and it’ll still be in the court 😅 Table tennis - I prefer to call this ping pong honestly, it sounds truer to the nature of the sport then table tennis, anyway, is more like controlling our own power and put a lot of tricks here and there.
Padel, for me, is more similar to table tennis, because you have to bounce it once on the court, you can’t hit the glass surrounding it directly, it’ll be counted as an out. And somehow, the court is not big enough, so that even if I just hit the ball effortlessly, it still hit the glass directly.
Skill issue, definitely.
These days I’m trying more type of sports, but I still don’t have it in me to try running. It’s weird to run around chasing nothing. I guess I’m “too Asian” for that.
